Sometimes, social media feels a little bit like running on a hamster wheel.
Or like Sisyphus rolling a boulder up a hill.
Obviously, I know it’s important to be on social media for my business and personal brand. But sometimes filling my pipeline of content is hard.
That’s why I use AI-driven social media post generators to help me out.
While the ideas are all mine, sometimes I need some help repurposing content into a suitable format for social media.
These tools help me increase my content output by at least 2X.
(Also, one must imagine Sisyphus happy, no?)
What is a Social Media Post Generator?
A social media post generator is any tool that helps you create, repurpose, or publish content on social media.
Most tools in this category are AI copywriting tools. Essentially, they use artificial intelligence and machine learning to either create content from scratch, or rewrite existing content into new formats.
AI tools are the next big wave. I’d recommend learning how to use them.
A study from Deloitte, in fact, found that 73% of AI adopters believe AI is “very” or “critically” important to their business today, and 64% say AI technologies enable them to establish a lead over competitors.
So let’s cover some of my favorite tools to help you create more social media content.

Jasper AI is a social media post generator that helps you create, repurpose, and publish content on social media.
Jasper AI uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to either create content from scratch or rewrite existing content into new formats.
The tool is designed to help you increase your content output by at least two times.

Pros
- I like Jasper for many reasons, the main one being that it takes context clues better than other AI writing assistants. You can essentially train the tool to use certain voices, styles, and formats.
- It’s also great at writing long form content. For example, I am using Jasper to help me write this blog post.
- I also love its ready made templates, including the social media post generator template. This is great for short, pithy, and well-formatted posts for LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram captions, and Facebook.
- Jasper also has a native integration with Surfer SEO and also with WordPress, though these will be less useful for social media marketing purposes.
- Their pricing scales with usage, so you can easily scale up or scale back depending on your social media content needs.
- They have a great AI art generator to create cool graphics for blog posts and social.
Cons
- Jasper doesn’t have too many downsides, but one thing I will say is that it’s not the cheapest tool on this list.
- It’s also a little trickier to learn how to use. I’ll be honest: at first, I couldn’t make it work. I expected it to just generate amazing writing for me with no effort on my part.
- That’s just not the way AI copywriting tools work. You need to train and guide the AI as well as edit it.
- Once I learned how to use commands and Boss Mode (their powerful upgrade), I loved it.
Pricing
The first pricing tier, which starts at just $29/mo, includes access to all of Jasper’s features, including the social media post generator.
If you want the best package, though, I’d opt for Boss Mode.

2. Copy AI
Copy AI is another great copywriting software that uses artificial intelligence to generate content.
Copy AI is a great tool for creating social media posts, as well as email subject lines, website copy, and even ad copy.
They do have a long form blog post template that writes a content outline from scratch and turns it into an entire blog post. I’ve found that this feature needs some work, though, so I really love Copy AI for shorter forms of content, like generating digital marketing ad copy, social media posts, and small bits of sales copy.
Pros
- First off, Copy AI is awesome because it has a free plan. It’s pretty generous, and the upgrade starts at just $49 per month
- Copy AI is great at short form content, so it’s well suited for social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram.
- It’s also really easy to use – you can just input a prompt and it generates text for you.
Cons
- Like Jasper, Copy AI isn’t the cheapest tool on this list.
- It’s also not as good at longer form content. So if you’re looking to create an in-depth blog post or LinkedIn article, you’ll want to use a different tool.
- I’ve also found Copy AI to get a lot of factual information wrong, so it’s best to keep a keen editorial eye when using this one.
Pricing
Copy AI is free up to 2,000 words per month. After that, it starts at $49 per month for 40,000 words and scales up from there.

3. Frase.io
Frase is a content optimization platform that also includes an AI writer.
For its content optimization features, you can create a robust content brief simply by entering a target keyword. This will generate a ton of background research to cite, suggested format and headlines, and other recommendations like word count and readability.
It also generates content using AI – both short form stuff for social media and longer form blog posts.
Pros
- I love Frase because it’s an all-in-one content optimization tool. If you want to do your own research, great – but if you want a little help, Frase can provide it.
- They’re the best in the business at creating content briefs. If you’re writing long form SEO content, this is the platform for you.
- It’s also generally quite easy to use. I like the interface, and despite its many features, it’s not very confusing to figure out.
Cons
- Frase is very feature rich, but their content creation tools are weaker than others on this list.
- Their content creation tools are mainly good at rephrasing short paragraphs.
- If you want to find an alternative to Surfer SEO or MarketMuse, this is great. But if you just want to create content for Instagram posts, it’s a bit pricey.
Pricing
Frase is decently affordable considering its many features, starting at just $$44.99/month for the solo plan which includes 30 Document Credits 10,000 AI-Generated Characters. Team plans start at $114.99/mo which includes 3 user seats.

4. Hypotenuse AI
Hypotenuse AI is a newer tool on this list, but it’s phenomenal at writing short form copy like social media posts and ecommerce product descriptions.
They have a long form blog post maker, but their Instagram caption generator is awesome. They also have a native Shopify integration for those in ecommerce.
Pros
- Hypotenuse is insanely fast. I can generate a social media post in seconds, which is great when I’m short on time or ideas.
- It’s also really affordable – the cheapest tool on this list by far.
- The copy it generates is often very good, too – I’ve found that it’s one of the better social media post generators because of its focus on short form copy
Cons
- The downside of Hypotenuse AI is that it doesn’t have as many features as some of the other tools on this list.
- It’s also not as good at longer form content. But if you’re looking for a tool to quickly generate social media posts, it’s a great option.

Word AI is a social media post generator whose strongest feature is its rewriting capability.
Essentially, you can take a sentence or a paragraph and paraphrase it, improve it, or change its style.
Word AI is great for those writing SEO blog posts, because it can identify low hanging fruit phrases to improve upon as well as LSI keywords to include.
Pros
- I love Word AI because it’s simple and effective. Not only can you use it to generate new content, but you can also use it to improve existing content.
- Their paraphrasing feature is top notch – great for social media content generation as well as longer form SEO content.
- It’s genuinely super simple to use – great interface.
Cons
- The downside of Word AI it’s a bit more expensive than other paraphrasing tools, starting at $57/month
- It also lacks text generation features, focusing mainly on paraphrasing (which is usually fine for social media content generators).

Quillbot is another paraphrasing tool, perhaps the most popular one out there.
It’s great for rewriting sentences, paragraphs, or even entire articles. Cool thing about Quillbot? You can use it without an account directly on their website:
Of course, the premium features, like tone, style, and whether you’re writing formally or informally require a paid account. But it’s dirt cheap, one of the most affordable on this list. This tool may not have tons of features, but it’s great at generating new ad copy, posts for social media platforms, and even rewriting sections of longer essays.
Pros
- I love Quillbot because it’s so easy to use. You can just input a piece of text and the tool will rewrite it for you.
- It’s also got multiple voices and tones, so you can generate content that sounds like it was written by a human instead of a machine.
- It’s one of the more affordable social media post generators on this list.
Cons
- The only downside to Quillbot is that it doesn’t have as many features as some of the other tools on this list.

Quillbot is free to use directly on their website. Paid plans start at only $8.33 USD per month. Crazy cheap!

7. GrowthBar
GrowthBar is a new tool, but it’s super powerful and they continue to add features.
To start, it has a really robust content brief generator.
You can also use GrowthBar to create social media posts, blog posts, and even product descriptions.
It also includes typical SEO software tools like keyword research, backlink analysis, and competitor analysis.
Pros
- I love GrowthBar because it’s an all-in-one tool. You can use it for content briefs, social media posts, blog posts – you name it.
- It’s also got a great Chrome extension.
Cons
- GrowthBar has many features but probably isn’t the best at any one of them.
- It’s also more focused on SEO than it is on social media platforms, so if you’re just looking for a social media post generator, there are better options on this list.

It really depends on your needs and budget as to which one is the best fit for you.
