The 11 Best Sales Funnel Software Tools in 2023

Last Updated on January 20, 2023 by Alex Birkett

Making enough sales to meet the revenue goal is always an uphill battle. Add on your efforts to copy/paste data, develop reports, and more – and it gets more overwhelming.

But what if there was a tool that could help you automate these repetitive tasks? A tool that could wire together several funnel stages, engaging funnels, nurture leads, run automated campaigns and manage your contact database all online?

Well, guess what? It exists!

And not just one, dozens of them.

Some of them even have pre-built blueprints that let you simply plug in your funnel and get started. No more wasting your time building funnels from scratch.

What is Sales Funnel Software?

Sales funnel software is a tool that can help convert interested prospects into paying customers. They do it by automating or creating assets like application forms, landing pages, follow-up emails, payment gateways, and more.

Let me put it simply.

Here is how the sales funnel works — it has an entry point and then a series of steps, at the end of which leads turn into customers. It’s a smart approach because it gives you a structure to follow and an organized way to get data about your leads.

Here’s what a typical sales funnel looks like:

But this entire process with multiple stages in between can be overwhelming.

In fact, the sales funnel continues to get narrower, with more emphasis on personalization.

Luckily, sales funnel software automates the process, enhances the efficiency of your sales team, and also helps leads move through the sales process faster. They help you send follow-up emails to a customer, track their offers and create powerful lead generation, thus increasing your conversions.

What’s more, they facilitate this approach using automated tools, builder, autoresponder, templates, and more. You even get access to analytics and reporting to identify how your sales funnel is performing.

What Features to Look for in Sales Funnel Software?

Here is the list of best features to look for in sales funnel platform:

  • Ease of Use – What is the use of having a wide range of features when using your interface is frustrating? Choose the software that is easy to use and set up.
  • Robust Sales Management Features – Your software should offer sales funnel tools like page templates, infrastructure to create and distribute content offers, email automation, autoresponder, and more.
  • CRM Features – Built-in customer relationship management can help you capture, score, prioritize, distribute your lead, and manage your email list. In addition, CRM can manage both your customers and sales leads in one place.
  • Integration – Look for the software that integrates with all major payment gateways and business tools, including Zapier. You don’t want to worry about replacing your existing tools.
  • Email Marketing Tools – Email plays a huge role in sales and marketing. The sales funnel software you choose should enable email customization and allow you to send personalized email marketing campaigns to your prospects.
  • Mobile Access – You don’t want to open your PC or laptop every time you want to access your sales funnel software. Choose one that you can access through your smartphone. Having a mobile app is also a plus.
  • Online Advertising – Online advertising will help you gain a consistent stream of new customers from different online advertising channels like Facebook, Instagram, or Google.
  • Ability to Create Popups – Popups are convenient for turning your traffic into leads and sales. Your sales funnel software should be able to create popups and add them to your website, ecommerce store, or even your blog.
  • One Click-Upsells – This feature is excellent for promoting limited-time offers immediately after a customer buys a product. It will help you increase your revenue.
  • Webinar Funnels – Webinar funnels can facilitate relationships and turn your expertise into revenue. You can offer either free or paid webinars.
  • Analytics – Analytics and reporting provide real-time insights into your sales funnel to help you make more informed decisions. Your software should offer report viewing, user forecasting, customer progress tracking, and determine how customers engage with your business.

The 13 Best Sales Funnel Software

Here’s my list for the best sales funnel software:

1. Leadpages.

Best For: Best for startups, small businesses, and freelancers.

G2 Score: 4/5

Leadpages is more like a landing page builder than a sales funnel tool. But what are sales funnels if not a cluster of strategically placed landing pages?

While they don’t have pre-built sales funnels like some of their counterparts, they do offer some of the most attractive landing page templates and a sleek drag-and-drop builder. In fact, I’d go so far as to say their landing page builder is probably one of the best in the industry.

You can also create websites, pop-ups, checkouts, opt-in forms, trigger links, alert bars, social campaigns, and more.

Another significant component of the tool is its real-time recommendations, aka Leadmeter. The built-in technology analyzes your pages and elements, compares them to thousands of others pages, and provides guidance to get high conversion rates.

And the best part? The recommendations are in real-time, so you can resolve issues as you proceed.

Take this suggestion to improve the countdown window, for instance:

Other features include:

  • Real-time performance tracking.
  • Unlimited split tests.
  • A/B tests and multivariate tests.
  • Payment integration with Stripe.
  • SEO-friendly pages.
  • Native integration with 1000+ business tools.

Cons:

  • Most templates are paid, which will add to the cost.
  • Doesn’t have ready-to-use sales funnel blueprints.
  • Doesn’t provide a built-in CRM.

Pricing:

Starts at $27/month.

2. GetResponse.

Best For: Marketers and businesses of all sizes.

G2 Score: 4.1/5

Do you want to guide your leads automatically towards the path where they eventually become your paying customers?

Then, you would love GetResponse. The famous email marketing and sales funnel software provides pre-designed and conversion-optimized scenarios to showcase your products in the best light, grow your contact list, and eventually make the final sale.

They’ll ask you what you want to do with your funnel before building the final sales funnel for you.

  • Do you want to build a list?
  • Sell a product?
  • Promote a Webinar?

Next, you’ll get directed to the entire funnel based on the option you choose.

Here’s an example for the “Lead Magnet Funnel” to give visitors a valuable resource in exchange for your emails.

You can build different funnel stages right from the dashboard using GetResponse’s templates and the drag-and-drop builder.

Similarly, each scenario has built-in elements, features, and resources.

The pre-designed elements include:

  • Sign up pages
  • Exit popup forms
  • Follow-up email
  • Sales page
  • Order form
  • Abandoned cart email
  • Welcome/thank you email
  • Upsell page
  • Confirmation page

And a lot more… The elements in your sales funnel will depend on the scenario you choose. You’ll also get hundreds of attractive templates for every element and step in your funnel.

What I liked the best about GetResponse is that they have built-in resources for just about everything. For instance, they even provide you with ready-to-use lead magnets to entice and capture your leads.

You can also connect an ecommerce store with GetResponse. There are two options – either create a new store or connect an existing store. They provide native integration with Ecommerce platforms like Stripe, Etsy, Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, and PrestaShop. Or you can use XML code to import products from another store not listed here.

A winning combination of ease of use, abundant options & resources, and attractive templates for just about everything gives GetResponse an edge over other sales funnel software on the market.

And along with a flexible sales funnel builder, you can use GetResponse for plenty of other features to engage your customers:

  • List management
  • List segmentation
  • Email autoresponder
  • Building landing pages
  • Email analytics
  • Track every stage of your funnel
  • Marketing automation
  • Creating paid ads
  • A/B testing / Split testing
  • Drag-and-drop editor with desktop and mobile preview options

Cons:

  • It only allows up to 100 webinar attendees with the “Plus” plan.
  • Prices increase exponentially with your list size.

Pricing:

Starts at $15/month (1 funnel).

3. HubSpot.

Best For: Mid-sized and large enterprises.

G2 Score: 4.5/5

HubSpot is a big name in the sales arena. They have solutions for just about everything you’d need – sales, marketing, automation of business processes, CRM, and more.

For one, you get a drag-and-drop landing page builder and templates to create and modify each stage in your workflow.

The visual page editor makes it incredibly easy to determine who enters/exits your funnel and when.

You can choose from a dozen of actions, automated triggers, if/when conditions, and more to send the right lead to the correct stage. Then there are features like event-based segmentation and predictive lead scoring to enhance your funnel further. But they come with a hefty price at $3200 per month with the Enterprise plan.

You can also create sales pipelines with HubSpot’s sales suite – Sales Hub. And even with their free plan, which allows 1 deal pipeline per account.

You’ll be able to edit and modify different stages of the pipeline.

By default, HubSpot provides seven stages for a typical sales pipeline.

Here’s an example:

  • Appointment scheduled (20%)
  • Qualified to buy (40%)
  • Presentation scheduled (60%)
  • Decision-maker bought-in (80%)
  • Contract sent (90%)
  • Closed won (100% Won)
  • Closed lost (0% Lost)

As you can see, they specify the likelihood of closing the deal at each stage before you implement it.

And since your funnels and pipelines will be tied to a built-in CRM, you’ll always have pertinent data at your fingertips. You can even modify your sales pipeline side-by-side customer data.

There’s even an option to sync your HubSpot account with your existing ecommerce account. And integrating with your ecommerce platform will result in another pipeline being added to your HubSpot account.

That’s all well and good.

But you can’t modify that pipeline and would have to use it as it is.

Cons:

  • You have to pay a hefty cost to build an automated sales funnel.

Pricing:

Paid plans start at $45/mo.

4. ClickFunnels.

Best For: Medium-sized businesses and freelancers.

G2 Score: 4.7/5

I don’t think there’s a list of sales funnel software online that doesn’t mention ClickFunnels.

It’s an easy to ease sales funnel platform with an almost non-existent learning curve. And they have everything you need to build a robust yet straightforward sales funnel.

You can start by choosing your goal and the type, after which you’ll get directed to suitable templates.

With 22 pre-designed sales funnels, you don’t have to spend your time creating new funnels. Just tweak them using an easy-to-use builder, plug them into the system, and get started!

As easy as pie!

Here are some of the funnels you can choose from:

There’s also a rich set of pre-designed email, text, and messenger follow-up funnels. You also get dozens of templates to create sub-pages for various funnel stages.

They invest a lot in content educating users on how to build a funnel. A few of their content products that are interesting:

Here’s everything you can build with ClickFunnels:

  • Optin Pages
  • Sales Pages
  • Order Form Pages
  • Upsell & Downsell Pages (for 1-click upsells)
  • Webinar Event Pages
  • Membership Pages

If you’re unsure which funnel will align with your business goals the most, just specify your business type and answer a couple of questions. And voila, they’ll direct you to the highest converting funnel you can use aimed for your business.

ClickFunnels also lets you:

  • Connect to several payment gateways
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Connect to multiple custom domains
  • Send email broadcasts to your subscribers
  • Email and Facebook Marketing Automation
  • Track performance metrics to see how your business is growing

Cons:

  • Templates and funnels are clunky.

Here’s an example:

That’s so 2000s.

Pricing:

Starts at $97 per month.

5. Instapage.

Best For: Analyzing landing pages using heatmaps.

G2 Score: 4.3/5

Like Leadpages, Instapage is again primarily a landing page builder. You can still use it to create separate pages, plug them together, and build a conversion funnel on your own.

There’s a standard landing page builder and attractive templates.

I like the templates. They are sleek, minimal, and have enough whitespace. You can also pick your template based on your requirement or business goal.

While it leaves much to be desired when it comes to building sales funnels, it offers robust A/B testing and a heatmap tool. The heatmap tool will let you track mouse movement, clicks, and scroll depth to help you identify what’s working and what’s not.

Other key features include:

  • Mobile-responsive landing page templates.
  • Robust analytics.
  • Dynamic content.
  • Ad campaigns.
  • Multi-step forms.
  • Team collaboration.

Cons:

  • Expensive for a landing page builder.
  • Doesn’t have ready-to-use sales funnel blueprints.

Pricing:

Starts at $119 per month.

6. Drift.

Best For: Converting website visitors into warm leads using chatbots.

G2 Score: 4.3/5

Drift markets itself as a conversational marketing & sales platform, and not without reason. With Drift, automated chatbots work hand-in-hand with sales workflow.

They have “Playbooks” rather than conventional sales funnels or landing page templates. Playbooks are automated message workflows that convert site visitors and connect them to your team via automated bots or live chat.

Drift lets you create:

  • A chat Playbook
  • An email Playbook
  • And a Signature Playbook

You can use these Playbooks to: convert leads into paying customers; introduce new features for clients; make announcements to a segment of your customers.

Since chatbots can be incredibly flexible, you get an option to choose from several templates based on your use case.

As you can see, most of the Playbooks aren’t available with the freemium plan.

Here’s an example of the workflow welcoming website visitors via live chat:

You can enter any message you want, target different audiences, and trigger responses based on the visitors’ actions. If you want more customization flexibility, you can build a landing page from scratch.

While this was just a short workflow, you can access numerous other funnels with the paid plans. That said, Drift only provides short workflows that will help you quality leads, capture their contact details, and connect them to your sales reps.

Other key features include:

  • Conversation routing to make sure your leads talk to the right person at the right time.
  • Pre-built Salesforce dashboards.
  • Revenue reporting and conversation analysis.
  • AI chatbots.
  • Integration with Slack, Google Analytics, Calendars, and more.

Cons:

  • Steep learning curve.
  • The workflows are only sufficient to help you connect with the leads, not adequate to move them towards final sales.

Pricing:

Quote-based.

7. Wishpond.

Best For: Running contests, sweepstakes, and promos within your sales funnel.

G2 Score: 3.9/5

Wishpond is a marketing funnel builder that helps you create and launch viral lead magnets or landing pages all in one place. Create a new draft quickly and easily using pre-made templates (or start from scratch) to build your funnels in minutes.

But again, the templates entail different sales pages, forms, landing pages, and more. It’s your job to curate those separate pages and create an entire sales funnel.

That said, the templates are attractive and already optimized for all devices. The drag-and-drop builder is also robust and lets you customize almost every aspect of your page.

On top of that, they have templates for multi-step pages that eliminate the need to create multiple pages for different tasks.

They also offer solid automation within your email campaigns, such as:

  • Email drip campaigns.
  • Trigger lead magnets via email analytics.
  • Ecommerce integration for autoresponder emails and abandoned cart recovery.
  • Workflow management for sales teams with approval processes.

You can trigger different automation workflows based on specific situations and customer actions. What’s more, you can even A/B test your campaigns, workflows, and funnels before hitting the send button.

Aside from marketing automation and landing pages, Wishpond also lets you create popups, opt-in forms, promos, contests, and more.

Another feature that deserves mention is the ability to add products directly inside Wishpond and start selling with Stripe integration.

Cons:

  • Limited reporting capabilities.

Pricing:

Starts at $49/month.

8. Kartra.

Best For: Ready-to-use sales funnels built by marketing experts.

G2 Score: 4/5

Kartra is the OG sales funnel software.

They provide pre-made, done-for-you campaigns for different use cases – complete with design, copy, and automation.

You can also use their “Campaign Marketplace” to purchase (and even sell) ready-to-use funnels built by other marketing experts.

Nonetheless, you can still customize them to your liking. Add triggers, boolean conditions, add/remove tags, and a lot more wherever you want in the funnel to personalize it for your audience and reflect your brand.

Their builder also lets you create landing pages, webinars, pop-up boxes, opt-in forms, triggered emails, membership sites, and more that you can plug within the funnel.

The platform further enhances all the same funnels you would build with a more typical CRM or email marketing platform – like Leadpages or Mailchimp – but all integrated into one place. This allows users to see the overall picture of how offers are affecting and impacting your customers.

Cons:

  • Some users may find the UI a bit cumbersome.
  • No free trial or freemium plan.

Pricing:

Stars at $99/month.

9. Kajabi.

Best For: Introducing and launching your digital product or online course.

G2 Score: 4.4/5

Kajabi is another all-in-one marketing automation tool on this list.

They help you create websites, opt-in forms, sales funnels, landing pages, online courses, memberships, email sequences, and every other type of sales page.

They have ready-made pipelines for various business goals, including lead generation, product launches, offering a freebie, or webinar funnels.

Pre-built here means they are ready-to-go and have all the elements you’d need – like email sequences, forms, pop-ups, and more – to meet your marketing goal. You can further customize each stage, page, and copy of the entire funnel the way you want.

Here’s an example of the 3-step Zoom Webinar pipeline:

You can also build separate email sequences and campaigns if you want.

Set different triggers and automated actions that can be wired together with different parts of your email marketing campaign.

These automation work with when/then logic, tagging, email sequences, and more.

And if you’d rather not wire all these things yourself, you can always choose a relevant sales funnel blueprint.

Cons:

  • The email campaign builder isn’t sufficient on its own.

Pricing:

Starts at $119/month.

10. SamCart.

Best For: Ecommerce businesses and online coaches.

G2 Score: 4.5/5

SamCart has an entire library of pre-designed product pages, sales pages, and checkout pages that are built to sell any type of product or service. You can also sell online courses and create different membership tiers.

Some of its key features include:

  • Updating email list.
  • Adding tags for CRM.
  • Built-in upsells.
  • Pre-purchase Order Bumps.
  • Abandoned cart & subscription recovery.
  • Built-in A/B testing.
  • Sales & VAT tax support.
  • Multi-Step Pixel Tracking
  • Order management.
  • Identify where your sales are coming from, among other important metrics.

Cons:

  • Lack of ready-to-use sales funnels templates.

Pricing:

Starts at $49/month.

11. ThriveCart.

Best For: Ecommerce businesses.

G2 Score: 4.6/5 (8 Reviews)

ThriveCart is a shopping cart platform that allows you to quickly deploy and manage upsell funnels that bring greater revenue.

Plus, you can create membership tiers, build funnels by linking different sales pages, track funnel stats, embed shopping carts, and more.

Other key features include:

  • A/B testing
  • Real-time forecasting and insights.
  • High-converting cart pages.
  • Profit boosting add-ons.
  • Built-in sales tax calculation.
  • Automatically follow up with visitors who abandon the cart.

Cons:

  • Lack of multi-purchase options.
  • Doesn’t provide ready-to-use sales funnel templates.

Pricing:

Lifetime access at $495.

Ready to Build Your Sales Funnel?

That’s it!

That was my list for the best sales funnels software on the market in 2021.

If you were to go by the number of features alone, GetResponse, Kartra, Kajabi, and Wishpond take the cake. They offer all-in-one automation tools that let you create all types of landing pages, build an ecommerce store, create automated sales funnels, run email campaigns, and more.

However, Wishpond doesn’t have pre-made sales funnels like GetResponse, Kartra, Kajabi, and ClickFunnels.

Leadpages is probably my favorite tool on the list. You can look elsewhere for webinar software, form builders, etc. But in terms of landing page and funnel tools, this platform is the most powerful (I’m not a huge fan of all-in-one solutions).

In the end, the final choice boils down to your requirements, company size, budget, and overall experience.
